hi! it's now the 20th of August so i'm rather late to post this, but i wanted to wait until after the AnxiousBreaks victors were announced; more on that in a bit. i'm thinking for these biannual news posts i'll have a retrospective along with some current and future plans of mine. well, let's start!

Patreon & ARXVE

last month i made a Patreon page! there's already a ton of content there, including quite a few WIPs, an entire exclusive EP, and full access to all of my SunVox projects! if you're interested in any of that i'd recommend checking my profile out. i also would really appreciate signing up as a member, whether free or even paid for only $3 a month!

also in March i launched the ACheney ARXVE, where you can find all of my music under my old aliases from 2019 - 2024! obviously i made the material there at varying levels of skill and experience so most of it isn't up to my current standards or aesthetics. but nonetheless, if you're interested in hearing more from me or just want to see how far i've come, feel free to check it out! currently the music is distributed as a .zip download, but maybe later i'll add some kind of online listening functionality...

Community

(i'll use this as a catch-all for my follower news and collab/contest activity)

this month i participated in @Creeperforce24's AnxiousBreaks remix contest! i placed fourth out of eight among the victors, which i'm very happy with! making a remix of that awesome tune was super fun!

in June i participated in @CrimsonKero's NGAP Pride Collab! it was really fun making a track for the event, and i'm incredibly happy with how it and the entire collab came out! you really should check it out and listen to the other submissions, they're awesome!

in March i participated in the SunVox Compo 2025.02 and placed third, among the winners! "Didido", one of my submissions for it, will be included in the SunVox distribution! i was so elated by my victory, and i'm still super proud of my performance! i'm also very grateful for the opportunity to directly contribute to the music making program i love so much

as of writing i have 145 followers here, and i'm grateful for each and every one of you! last month i made it past 100 subscribers on my YouTube channel! it's so satisfying seeing my channel grow

Music & Branding

as you can imagine i made a lot of music during the past six months. i won't post everything here, instead i'll treat you to some of my favorite uploads from the past half-a-year:

i also released three EPs - BTHOD in February, 983F in May, and TALITVSHKA to my Patreon in July!

additionally, around April i decided to rework my branding material (logos, banner / pfp); i'm still quite happy with what i made; hopefully i won't change it again for a while :)

lastly, in June i got monitors for my studio! i love my ADAM T5V's so much and i know they'll be sticking with me for a good long while

Plans

1. music, as usual! you may remember how i mentioned an album in the last news post; i'm still working on it, but i don't yet have a projected completion or release time. in hindsight it would've been more wise not to mention it at all at this point, but whatever, i can't go back now. just know that an album is coming eventually
2. i also want to grow my youtube channel! with what content i don't know yet, maybe more exclusive music visuals or even tutorials?
3. i want to participate in NG's community more - i didn't participate in NGADM or NGUAC this year, but maybe i will next year? and of course i'd love to join interesting collabs and provide tunes
4. i'm mildly considering seeking a label, but i'm not certain if that's what i want to do; i like the freedom of indie releasing. if i do join a label, the publicity and community will definitely be awesome

aside from these, i just plan to enjoy my day-to-day life
