do i hear an andalusian cadence as the backbone of this tune? cool chords :)
super catchy, fun, and danceable!

i'll keep it a buck with you, i had no idea what an andalusian cadence is lmao. had to research it to find out what it was, and i think you might be hearing that. also thanks :)
cool beat! yeah like you said in the news post i do feel like it's repetitive, but for what it is it's still a bop
the melodies are quite fun to listen to, the stereo details are neat, and i enjoyed how the mixdown feels quite warm. overall good!
I was limited on what I could have did on this track, the computers I was using were 7 years old and Logic pro was not feeling it on that particular day. I had a GOOD start, but Logic crashed and I forgot how to replicate the whole thing from memory...
the drums are way too quiet in the mix, and conversely the melodic instruments are a bit too loud, especially in the low mids. the melodies are wonderful though, and the delay effect on the snare drum is neat. i enjoyed the breakbeat aspect of the tune, and the solo at the end sounds cool!
Thanks :D
i can see this acting as a great motivational piece for the fighting soldiers. kinda like skrillex's "bug hunt" and the way that was used in wreck it ralph
the master does feel quite compressed, like there's too much multiband compression or soundgoodizer. i can hear quite a lot of pumping from the compression, and the way the basses are forcefully pushed to the back of the mix in the final section does not sound good to me. the sound design is interesting though, if maybe a bit cheesy.
the kick drum in the climax feels a bit too punchy in the 80-120hz region, and the mix and instrumentation feel somewhat thin timbrally. but these are nitpicks, i really enjoyed the storytelling aspect and the melodic development!
i'll say that i think the dx7 epiano doesn't really fit the vibe this song is conveying. also maybe the arrangement can get cluttered sometimes, especially in the drops where the basses and melodies are vying for attention. the melodies are gorgeous though, and the overall composition is fantastic! mixing wise the low mids are a bit too saturated, a bell cut in the 100-200hz region will definitely help with that. overall great!
Thanks! (It's one of my first dubstep songs, Ik the mix could be better, but I think there's a limit of like 3k listens? The limit makes impossible to change the audio file, so I'd have to publish it twice -_- NVM, changed!
wonderful! i adore the crispiness of the sounds and the meatiness of the guitars! i do feel like the guitars could be even more upfront, but that's a nitpick. the choir in the midsection sounds freaking amazing and really help bring the momentum forward. overall quite good!
i won't rate any lower than three stars. but i can tell that you've got a ways to go. the instruments are too static; there needs to be some automation and movement through time. there needs to be impacts, risers, transitional effects to really make the sections distinct and flow into each other. i feel like the melody needs to be improved too; the vibrato on the lead instrument is quite annoying
my advice: experiment! and listen to others' songs and copy what you hear in your own music. there's so much you can learn from others, i think that's the beauty of the art
Thank you for the feedback, I will follow your advice and try to do better production for my next songs
groovy! a bit too long and repetitive, but the vibes on a good chunk of this are immaculate! i love the minimal but effective melodies; i can definitely see how this would tie in to the challenge's theme of fighting and war
the way the orchestral sections build up to the cyberpunk midtempo part is wonderful, and corey did a great job with the narrative! i really like the saxophone solo at around 1:15, i think that and the other jazzy elements really add to the storytelling aspect.
Thank you so much man!
